Nayantara is an Associate Partner heading the Intellectual Property practice group of BTG Legal. Nayantara has specialisations in various aspects of intellectual property law, corporate commercial advisory, and dispute resolution.
In her 10+ years of experience, Nayantara has handled both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to intellectual property, such as, transactions, advisory and litigation pertaining to copyrights, trademarks, patents, and designs.
Nayantara’s trademark experience includes drafting of oppositions, evidences, cease and desist notices, and counter statements etc. She is also regularly engaged by clients from various sectors to render opinion on wide ranging issues relating to trademark law.
Her speciality in patents, include patent drafting, protection, enforcement, prosecution, appeals, opposition, revocation. Her patent experience also includes strategic advice with regard to third party patent infringement.
Nayantara has also extensively handled intellectual property litigation before various Indian High Courts, Trademark Office, Design Office, Copyright Office, Geographical Indications Office and Intellectual Property Appellate Boards.
